Redovisningsgruppen på JIBS består för närvarande av 13 aktiva forskare inom revision, företagsstyrning, externredovisning och ekonomistyrning.  Gruppen engagerar sig i ett flertal projekt som undersöker samspelet mellan redovisning och ägande samt redovisning och omvandling. Flera projekt inkluderar aktörer från det omgivande samhället. Gruppen deltar aktivt i nationella och internationella redovisningsnätverk och konferenser och publicerar i välkända akademiska tidskrifter inom området. På JIBS organiseras regelbundet forskningsseminarier med nationella och internationella forskare.

The Discipline of Economics at JIBS is expanding, providing unique possibilities for new colleagues to contribute to the development of the discipline. It is seeking candidates for two permanent full-time positions for Assistant Professor in Economics starting in August 2019. One of the positions gives preference to candidates who have the capacity and willingness to teach macroeconomics at the advanced level[A1] . Candidates should have a strong interest in teaching and in doing research that will be influential for both academics and practitioners. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, as well as a clear interest in an academic career.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The holders of the positions will be a part of the Discipline of Economics at JIBS. The work tasks contain teaching activities at the Bachelor and Master level, along with research and other services to JIBS that are related to the position. Both positions have a strong teaching orientation, with teaching distributed over the different parts of the academic year and performed primarily in English. The holders of the positions are expected to apply for externally funded research grants and to contribute new knowledge that strengthens the JIBS brand. A high priority of the Discipline of Economics at JIBS is to have a strong academic and collegial milieu, so frequent attendance at the workplace is an important element of these positions.

REQUIREMENTS
You hold a PhD in Economics (or equivalent academic competence) or have such a degree by the time of hiring. You have documented teaching and research experience and have taken a course in teaching and learning in higher education (or are willing to take such a course within the first two years of employment). You have a strong research profile. Furthermore, you have proven abilities to interact with business and society and have demonstrated an ability to plan, organize and prioritize work effectively. You are fluent in written and spoken English and have excellent communication skills.

It’s meritorious if you have:

- Teaching experience equal to the equivalent of 1 year full time of employment.
- Experience from leadership in academia, public sector or industry
- An academic network and collaboration with other scholars
- Experience in the coordination and development of a course
- Experience from applying for and obtaining external funding

In the selection process, we will put emphasis on the person’s ability to take initiatives, being autonomous and flexible as well as having the ability to co-operate with colleagues. The criteria to be an eligible candidate include the completion of a PhD in economics or closely-related field (including dissertation) at the time of hiring. If the necessary PhD is not completed by the time of application, the expected date of completion must be verified by Dean/MD at the institution granting the exam. CeFEO is an internationally leading research center for family business and ownership issues; currently the largest in the world and ranked first in Europe and third globally for research publications. CeFEO was established in 2005 and has grown into an interdisciplinary and international research center with over 35 senior and junior researchers and regular visiting scholars. WORKING TASKS / QUALIFICATIONS
The position requires a PhD degree in a relevant discipline, for instance, business administration (general management, strategy, organization, accounting, entrepreneurship, marketing, etc), economics, finance, law, economic history, psychology, and/or sociology.

As a Post-Doctoral Researcher, we offer you full-time employment. Most of your time will be devoted to conduct research and take an active role in the continued development of CeFEO (80%). The remaining time is allocated for teaching (20%).

We seek candidates who have a strong wish to conduct high-quality academic scholarship on Family Business. The main language of research and teaching at JIBS is English. You must be fluent in both written and spoken English to be an eligible candidate. Skills in other languages, including Swedish, are an advantage but not a requirement.

The candidate is expected to have a strong international orientation. In making the selection, importance will be given to applicant’s qualifications in the following areas:

- Capacity and interest to engage in academic research at the highest level.
- A record of publications, especially in journals ranked in the ABS list, or a promising pipeline of papers targeted for publication in such journals.

WORKING TASKS
The Centre Coordinator works closely with the Centre Directors of MMTC and CeFEO, supporting them with various tasks and projects. The position includes responsibility for a diverse set of activities related to the Centers, such as:

- co-develop and coordinate marketing and branding strategies for the Centers;
- arrange events and promote the Centers in different contexts;
- project coordination/budgeting;
- represent the Centers internally and externally in matters decided by the Centre Directors;
- give comprehensive administrative support to the Centers;
- facilitate and support for visiting guest researchers to the Centers.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified applicants have a relevant academic degree or equivalent knowledge, a verified ability to work independently, with qualified administrative and coordinative tasks and responsibility for delivery. The successful applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Meritorious for the position is to have a proven ability to communicate and engage in successful collaboration with co-workers and external parties.

Due to the international working environment, fluency in the English language, both written and oral, is a requirement. A good understanding of both written and spoken Swedish is also expected.

Previous experience of working in the corporate world, international experience, working with branding and marketing, budget responsibility and project management are all considered as merits. Experience of social media and website content is also meritorious. To be successful you strive to build and maintain relationships and enjoy working with others. As a person you have a structured approach, show a high level of self-initiative and you are development oriented.
