Avdelningen för Byggnadsteknik och Belysningsvetenskap ger utbildningar på grundnivå, avancerad nivå och forskarnivå.

Undervisningen inom våra ingenjörsprogram i byggnadsteknik har ett starkt fokus på BIM. Inom avdelningen pågår också forskning som stödjer utbildningsutbudet. ARBETSUPPGIFTER
Du kommer i huvudsak att undervisa inom byggteknik och konstruktionsteknik samt ansvara för tillhörande kursadministration. Undervisningen sker på såväl svenska som på engelska. Du kommer att samverka med det omgivande samhället med syftet att hålla undervisningen tätt knuten till branschens utveckling samt omvänt att utbildningen bidrar till branschens utveckling. I tjänsten ingår även i förekommande fall forskning knuten till utbildningsområdet. Forskningen sker i stor omfattning som samverkansprojekt med företag och organisationer i regionen och du kommer att aktivt delta i projektansökningar.

KVALIFIKATIONER
Vi söker dig som har dokumenterade kunskaper inom byggteknik och/eller konstruktionsteknik. Du bör även kunna tala och skriva svenska obehindrat. Meriterande för tjänsten är om du har praktisk erfarenhet av projektering, produktion eller kontroll av byggnader och/eller anläggningar. Kunskaper inom BIM, byggrelaterade programvaror samt erfarenhet av undervisning på engelska är även meriterande.

För en tjänst som universitetslektor söker vi dig som har avlagt doktorsexamen inom t.ex. byggnadsmekanik eller konstruktionsteknik. Du har dokumenterad vetenskaplig och pedagogisk skicklighet samt har potential att utveckla och leda utbildnings- och forskningsverksamhet. Du behöver även ha visat god förmåga att planera, organisera och prioritera arbetet på ett effektivt och för ändamålet anpassat sätt.

För en tjänst som tekniklektor söker vi dig som har en civilingenjörsexamen inom t.ex. väg- och vattenbyggnadsteknik eller motsvarande kompetens av betydelse för verksamheten. För att trivas i rollen har du även flerårig kvalificerad yrkeserfarenhet från bygg- eller fastighetsbranschen samt har god förmåga att leda undervisning och utveckla utbildning.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary part of this opportunity (80%) is to conduct and spread research in a single or many different research projects (new or existing projects), based on organizational needs. The research is performed in close collaboration with industry in the region, many of them are SMEs, within manufacturing or automation, covering different industrial segments. The aim is to bridge the gap between production and product development in its relation to design and material selection.

Secondary part (20%) is teaching in existing courses in our Civilingenjörs-program, Master programme or Bachelor programmes, in courses such as; Production automation/technology, Sustainable production, Production systems, Integrated product and production development and thesis work (instructor or examiner).

QUALIFICATION
The position as a post doc requires you have a doctoral degree (PhD) within production development, product development, production systems, automation, or similar. The PhD must be done during the last three (3) years. We like to see you have research background in production related topic and theoretical experience in relevant field.  

It is meritorious if you have experience in participating in a research project in collaboration with industry. It is also meritorious if you have theoretical knowledge in product and production development, production technology, automation or similar as well as theoretical knowledge in project management.

As a person you are structured, independent and takes responsibility. You have good cooperation skills. You need to be fluent in written and spoken English and it is meritorious if you have skills in Swedish.

This is a temporary position for two years and full-time, with a start date of September 2019, or as agreed upon. Working conditions are regulated in collective agreements and Jönköping University implements individual salary setting.

We are looking for an assistant professor or an associate professor in product development.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The work consists mainly of teaching and related management and development activities at our Master's degree programs or our Civilingenjörsprogram. Teaching at our other engineering programs is also part of the job. Teaching is mainly within the product development area but could also be within production development depending on experiences and background.

Examples of courses includes: Thesis work advanced level, Integrated product development I and II, Programming for automated design, Advanced CAD, Introduction to product development, Machine elements, Sustainable product development as well as applied project courses. For a qualified candidate, appointment as program manager could be considered.

Research activities are also part of the work and are expected to increase. This includes work in research projects, publications and supervision of doctoral students as well as work with applications for research funding.

Collaboration with industry in both education and research is part of the work.

QUALIFICATION
We are looking for candidates with a doctoral degree in product development, engineering design, machine design or equivalent. We like you to have knowledge on product development and mechanical engineering. You need to have both theoretical and practical experience in relevant fields, experience in teaching at university level and experience of publishing at high quality conferences as main author and in international journals. You should also have experience from work in research projects in collaboration with industry.

As a person you are structured, independent and takes responsibility. You have good cooperation skills and have ability and interest in leading teaching. You need to be fluent in written and spoken English and it is meritorious if you have skills in Swedish. Driver’s license is a requirement for the position.

It is meritorious if you have been working as Associate professor. It is also meritorious if you have experience of course development and pedagogical development. Furthermore, documented educational skills and experience of publishing in international journals as main author are meritorious.

It is also meritorious if you have experience of work with research project applications in collaboration with industry and experience from project management of externally granted research projects including industry collaboration

It is positive and meritorious to have knowledge in at least one of the following areas:

- CAD
- Computer programming
- PDM/PLM
- Mechanical design Methodology
